How to clean sterling silver jewellery
Sterling silver will tarnish from time to time. The best way to clean all sterling silver pieces is as follows:
Step 1.
Line a shallow glass dish with aluminum foil.
Step 2.
Place jewelry on aluminum foil and sprinkle evenly with baking soda.
Step 3.
Pour boiling water over jewelry enough to cover everything, and let sit for 5-10 minutes depending on level of tarnish.
Step 4.
Rinse jewelry with clean water and dry.
Also, keep the jewellery in air tight ziplock bags after wiping off lotion, body oil etc. after each wear.
Order Processing and Shipping
Mint items are handcrafted with care in home studio in beautiful Oakville, Ontario. Often a piece is handmade to order, please allow approximately 2 – 5 business days before an item is shipped. Upon receipt of your order, I will send an email to let you know when to expect delivery.
If you need a piece of jewellery rush delivered, please contact me via email about availability. If I have the piece on hand, I will usually package the item for shipping within 24 hours.
Bridal/large custom orders* take approx. 3-10 business days before they ship. Please contact for rush orders.
*I love working on custom pieces so don’t hesitate to contact me if you have something in mind.
How much is shipping?
- Standard Canada on orders over $75: 3 to 7 business days** - free
- Standard Canada on orders under $75: 3 to 7 business days** - $3
- Expedited Canada On all orders: 3 to 7 business days** - $12
- Standard USA on all orders: 5-10 business days - $6
- Fed Ex Priority USA: 1 business day - $25* excluding weekends and holidays
- Fed Ex Economy USA: 2 business days - $20* excluding weekends and holidays
- Fed Ex International Economy: 4 business days - $32* excluding weekends and holidays
Items will be shipping via Canada Post for all standard shipping options and for Expedited shipping, you'll be provided with a tracking number if you’re in North America. However, all international orders will be sent without a tracking number. Please contact us to arrange tracked shipping service
DUTIES & INSURANCE
Packages entering countries outside of Canada may be subject to duties and taxes. Please note that Mint Jewellery is not responsible for these fees, as we are not able to control them. Duties and taxes vary by country, for more information, please contact your local government customs office.
all parcels are insured up to $100 using Canada Post or Fed Ex.
Returns or Exchanges:
I want you to love your jewellery and wear it often, however, if it is not as you expected or if you are not completely satisfied with your Mint jewellery, you can return it within a week of receipt, if and only if the following criteria are met:
--you have emailed me at stella(at)minted.ca to request a return id number.
--you have taken care in packaging your return in the original packaging. If your package arrives in a flimsy packaging and is damaged, I cannot reimburse your costs.
--you insure the package for return delivery. I cannot be responsible for lost return items.
Shipping costs for returns are non-refundable.
Repairs
I stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of Mint jewellery. If a piece breaks due to normal wear and tear within 21 days of purchase, I'll be happy to repair it for you free of charge. Repairs after 21 days will be assessed a small fee. Email me first at minted [at] rogers.com for a repair id number.
